Fitting a tent back into its bag should not be difficult if you know where to begin. The best kind of shower tents are ones you can assemble without an instruction manual and pack up within seconds. OZtrail prides itself on manufacturing heavy-duty tents of premium quality that are light, airy, and easy to handle.
Unlike other tents, handling an OZtrail shower tent is quick and easy and can be done in under a minute. There are two ways to fold this shower tent: the pack down method, and the gather up method. Here is a step by step guide to both.
Pack down method
You want to start off on a flat surface clear of any rocks or sharp objects that could tear your tent.
Then follow these steps:
Remove the fiberglass rods
While the tent stands taut, remove the fiberglass rods from its sides. This will make it flaccid and easily foldable. The rods are secured by Velcro straps and undoing those should get the rods out easily.
Remove the floor
If you have a shower tent with a drain, you will need to unclip it before initiating the folding steps.
If you do not remove the rods and the floor, you will risk them tearing through the fabric as you forcefully fold the tent.
Make it flat
Once the rods have been removed, you want to lay the tent down flat.
To do this, push one corner to the opposite side. As you do this, the other side will automatically cave in and you can lay it flat on the ground. Fix the fly and overlay it the lengthwise so that the tent is inverted – outside pushed inside and vice versa.
Fold it
To fold the tent, raise it above the ground holding it from near the base. Both your hands hold it right low down. Get a good grip over the tent, your thumbs should be pointed in the air. The middle of the tent would have heaved down with this maneuver.
Hold the tent with your dominant hand and with the other, push the facing side inwards. This will collapse, folding it in a ring-like manner and you can pack it away in its bag.
Gather up method
This is a relatively simpler method that begins by removing the fiberglass rods followed by the folding process.
Push down on the sides of the shower tent to make it flat and then hold it in the air so it folds in half on its own.
Push down on one side – the tent should look like figure 8.
Fold the sides over each other, and in the end pack the tent in its bag for later use.
A little practice before you set out, a helpful partner and this guide should see you well through the setting and packing up process. Just follow the instructions and have a comfortable and easy camping experience with your OZ trail shower tent!
